Postdoctoral research fellowship position in host-pathogen interactions

The Nguyen lab is looking for a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow to work in a multidisciplinary research program investigating host-pathogen interactions in Pseudomonas aeruginosa infections. The project will involve microbiology, cell biology and genetic/genomic approaches to study various aspects of host-pathogen interactions important to chronic Pseudomonas aeruginosa infection and lung inflammation in the context of cystic fibrosis lung disease.







Qualifications / Required Skills

The position requires a PhD in microbiology, immunology, cell biology or related discipline, with a strong background in cell biology, microbiology and/or immunology, and familiarity with methods such as bacterial and mammalian cell cultures, flow cytometry and fluorescence microscopy. Experience in genomics, transcriptomics or other bioinformatic tools is an asset. The candidate will be expected to have demonstrated scientific independence and critical thinking, and to have a strong academic and publication record.

Salary: 45,000
