Job Description / Duties

We are looking for 1 graduate student (PhD or MSc with transition to PhD) and 1 postdoctoral fellow to start in January 2025. Applicants must be self-motivated and hard working with a strong academic background in the biomedical sciences. Laboratory experience in immunology, cell biology or microbiology is a strong asset. For postdoctoral candidates, previous publications as first and co-author in peer-reviewed journals is a strong asset.

Qualifications / Required Skills

Strong ability to manage a research project and work independently.
Strong communication skills (spoken and written English) skills. French communication skills is a strong asset. Universite de Sherbrooke is a francophone university.
Strong collaborative skills and an ability to work well with others.

The Tai Laboratory at Universite de Sherbrooke is seeking a graduate student and postdoctoral fellow to lead preclinical and translational studies on the immune cell response in breast/bladder/pancreatic/bile duct cancer progression and viro-immunotherapy. We use immunologic assays, mouse models and human organoids to study poor prognosis cancers. Our main goal is to develop precision viro-immunotherapies. We are a highly collaborative group situated in the Institute of Cancer Research of UdeS on the health campus of the Université de Sherbrooke. Located in the Eastern Townships, 1.5h south of Montreal (30 mins from Vermont), Sherbrooke offers a beautiful setting for work-life balance.
