Job Description / Duties

The Université de Sherbrooke is seeking applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level in the field of tumor immunology and immunotherapy. The candidate will join the Immunology graduate program within the Cell Biology Department of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences. In keeping with the strategic development of personalized cancer research at our University, we expect the successful candidate to carry out strong, externally-funded research in areas such as innate and adaptive immunity to tumors, oncogenic events that impact on host immunity, and development of novel therapeutic interventions. The selected candidate should also be committed to teaching undergraduate and graduate students.

Qualifications / Required Skills

Applicants must have a PhD degree in a biomedical discipline as well as post-doctoral experience in the field of cancer immunology. Demonstrated excellence in research during training is also required. Since the Université de Sherbrooke is a French-language institution, professors are expected to acquire an ability to teach in French within three years of their appointment.
