Job Board > Postdoctoral fellow - University of Alberta
![]() |
Two postdoctoral positions are available in the Clemente Lab at the Medical Microbiology and Immunology Department (University of Alberta). Our lab works on skeletal and cardiac muscle immunopathology.
We seek a postdoctoral fellow with expertise in adaptive immunology interested in investigating the links between T cell and myeloid polarization, viral and autoimmune inflammation using mouse models. This project is supported by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR).
Another PDF position is available to study the underlying mechanisms linking immune dysregulation and cardiac and skeletal muscle wasting during cancer and chemotherapy. We apply cutting-edge tools, such as multi-dimension flow cytometry, and RNA-seq, and metabolic profiling to study the pathogenesis in cancer mouse models. This project is funded by CIHR and the Cancer Research Society (CRS) and will explore the role of innate immune cells in muscle atrophy.
We are looking for highly-motivated candidates with a strong research record (publications or presentations) with a doctoral degree within 1 year. Applicants with expertise in cellular immunology, mouse models, flow cytometry, and bioinformatic analysis of transcriptomics and metabolomics are encouraged to apply.
