Job Description / Duties

We are looking for an outstanding individual who has a strong background in immunology, host-pathogen interactions, and/or vaccinology with the following academic qualifications: PhD and or DVM/MD. The successful candidate is expected to build a strong, independent and externally funded research program in immunology and the development and evaluation of novel mitigations strategies. Research Scientist positions at VIDO-InterVac are non-tenure track appointments that have responsibilities, compensations, and career progressions that align with traditional academic appointments at the University of Saskatchewan. These responsibilities includes running independent research programs that align with the goals of the organization, supervising technicians and trainees (summer students, graduate students, and post-doctoral fellows) and contributing to the university community. Most Research Scientists at VIDO-InterVac are members of the College of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies and have adjunct professor positions in one of the academic departments at the University of Saskatchewan.
