Childcare Travel Bursary Application

The Canadian Society for Immunology (CSI) is pleased to accept applications for bursaries of up to $500. This bursary is open to CSI members only with children who will incur extra expenses for childcare while attending the 2026 Annual Meeting in Winnipeg, Manitoba. If requests exceed available funding, preference will be given to trainees and early career researchers (within 5 years of an independent research position). 

To apply, complete the following Childcare Bursary application by February 6/26. Decisions will be provided by Feb. 19/26.

Examples of allowable expenses

• ● Extra childcare services incurred at home or at the conference due to attendance at CSI 2026
  ● Travel expenses for the child(ren) e.g. airfare to CSI 2026
  ● Travel expenses for caregiver (non-CSI attendee) e.g. airfare and/or extra accommodation costs at CSI 2026

Examples of expenses not allowed for reimbursement

• ● Any registration or travel expenses for the attendee
  ● Entertainment for child(ren) or caregivers

Reimbursement procedure

• Bursary recipients will receive reimbursement of eligible expenses payable to bursary recipient or childcare giver (non-CSI attendee) only, based on submission of applicable receipts or justification of costs at the close of CSI 2026
• One bursary per family allowed
