As part of the CIHR Canadian HIV Cure Consortium 3.0 (CanCure 3.0), a full-time postdoctoral fellowship position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Mohammad-Ali Jenabian, Canada Research Chair in Immuno-Virology, in the Department of Biological Sciences at the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM). The successful candidate will be co-supervised by Dr. Cecilia Costiniuk at the Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre.
This project aims to better understand the mechanisms underlying pulmonary immune dysregulation and HIV viral persistence in the lungs under antiretroviral therapy.
• Ph.D. in Immunology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, or a related biomedical field
• Strong interest in working with human samples and HIV research
• Hands-on experience with primary cell culture, molecular biology techniques, flow cytometry, and immunological assays
• Proven track record of significant scientific contributions (e.g., publications, conference presentations)
• Excellent communication skills in either English or French (both spoken and written)
