Post-doctoral position - A postdoctoral position is available for a highly motivated individual who is a team player, to take on a project examining mucosal pathogenesis mechanisms in a humanized mouse model of HIV infection, developed in collaboration with Dr. A. Ashkar’s lab. The position is located in Dr. Charu Kaushic’s lab in McMaster Immunology Research Center (MIRC) in McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. Graduate Student - Circadian control of immune functions: A  graduate student position is available in the Laboratory of Molecular Chronobiology, Douglas Institute, McGill University, in Montreal, under the co-supervision of Dr. Nicolas Cermakian and Dr. Nathalie Labrecque, for a project on the circadian control of immune functions. Graduate Student - A graduate student opportunity (M.Sc./Ph.D.) is available at the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute, an affiliate of the University of Ottawa. Research involves studying the immunpathogenesis of hepatitis C virus (HCV) mono- and HIV-HCV co-infection, with a focus on CD8+ T-cells, and how the innate immune response influences adaptive immunity. Post-doctoral position: Dr. Tania Watts, Department of Immunology, University of Toronto (http://www.immunology.utoronto.ca/faculty/directory/watts.htm) is a seeking a highly motivated post-doctoral fellow to participate in our research on the role of TNFR family members in control of viral infections as well as to participate in collaborative studies involving immunophenotyping in human health and disease. You are a recent PhD graduate with a record of publication in immunology and expertise in flow cytometry; expertise in cellular immunology and/or molecular biology would also be an asset. Studies will involve a variety of methods including mouse models, human ex vivo studies and microarray approaches.  Please send a letter of interest, your CV including a list of publications as well as the names of 3 references to tania.watts@utoronto.ca.  The position is available on or after April 1, 2014.
